Kochi, also known as Cochin, is a vibrant city located on the southwest coast of India in Kerala. It has served as an important port since 1341, when a flood reshaped the coastline and created a natural harbor, attracting Arab, Chinese, and European traders. The city’s rich heritage is evident in Fort Kochi, where colonial-era bungalows and a variety of historic places of worship stand side by side.
